Amid a swell of “in” and “out” lists on social media, we don’t have to wonder which column Kendall Jenner put sheer dresses in.
The model took to Instagram early in the year, showing stills from her tropical holiday alongside a heartfelt caption reflecting on the new year. “2024, shower me with love and laughter, gratitude and growth, patience and presence,” she wrote.
Jenner wore a transparent buttercup yellow dress from Helsa Studio, fellow model Elsa Hosk’s brand. The floor-length dress was complete with a diamond-shaped cutout at the midriff, ruching at the hip, and a lettuce trim. The 818 founder kept her accessories simple, wearing a pair of green glass drop earrings with silver tips from Bottega Veneta, which retail for $1,150. (Her other accessory? A glass of chilled white wine.)
Jenner posed alongside Hailey Bieber, who wore a simple, form-fitting white sleeveless maxi dress. The two have become inseparable vacation partners lately, trading the slopes of Aspen for the Caribbean beaches just in time for the new year.
She’s also been an ardent supporter of the sheer trend. At the 2017 Met Gala, she wore La Perla Couture, and in 2021, a naked dress from Givenchy inspired by Audrey Hepburn in My Fair Lady, and rocked a Nensi Dojaka replica of a 1994 Chanel piece at the 2023 Met Gala after party. If Kendall Jenner’s New Years look proves anything, expect the sheer trend to stick around in 2024.
