“Inches on inches on inches” typically refers to hair’s length, and Keke Palmer definitely brought the length to the 2024 Met Gala. But she also brought inches on inches on inches in an upward direction thanks to a ponytail that knows how to makes an entrance but might make clearing doorways a challenge.
Palmer arrived on at the Metropolitan Museum of Art literally draped in sequins, which wrapped around her for a mummy-but-more-glamorous effect. And those sequins weren’t limited to her dress. Her glam team extended the sparkling effect by gluing sequins to the left side of her neck and the right side of her head: on her eyelid, her forehead, and extending all the way up through the tautly pulled base of her epic ponytail.
But don’t let your eye stop there because the ponytail only gets better. Neatly erupting from the top of her head is what we can only describe as a tube of hair. You think it’s challenging to cover your hair elastic by wrapping some hair around it? You’ll never complain again after seeing how the base of Palmer’s ponytail is wrapped and wrapped and wrapped, making her several inches taller.
