Last year, Keanu Reeves bowed out of his iconic assassin role in John Wick: Chapter 4.
We saw him dying and even his gravestone, but fans are convinced the character could still be alive.
In the meantime, John Wick 3.5 is set to release next year in the form of a spin-off called Ballerina.
Setting during the events of John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum (6 months prior to Chapter 4), the film follows Bond girl Ana de Armas as Eve Macarro, a dancer turned assassin.
In the first explosive trailer, we see Ian McShane reprising Continental manager Winston Scott alongside the late Lance Reddick, who died just prior to the release of John Wick Chapter 4 last year aged 60.
His character Charon also died in the fourth movie, but he shot his scenes for the prequel spin-off Ballerina in 2022.
Alongside Anjelica Huston reprising The Director from the third film, Norman Reedus joins the cast as a mysterious man called Pine.
And, of course, Reeves himself returns as Wick for what looks like a cameo. We wouldn’t be surprised if he and Ballerina team up in the inevitable John Wick: Chapter 5.
From the World of John Wick: Ballerina hits UK cineast on June 6, 2025.
