Justin Baldoni is “feeling grateful” after being hospitalized for a week.
On Monday, the “It Ends With Us” star, 40, revealed in an Instagram post that he had been admitted to St. John’s Hospital with an infection.
“Nothing like an infection and a week at the hospital to put everything into perspective,” Baldoni wrote. “God is so good. On the mend and feeling grateful.”
In the carousel post, he shared photos of himself embracing his wife, Emily Baldoni, and their two young children — son Maxwell and daughter Maiya — from his hospital bed.
The “Jane the Virgin” alum didn’t disclose any further details about his condition, but went on to thank the hospital staff and his loved ones for their support.
“Thank you to the incredible team of doctors and nurses at St. John’s. Your dedication and compassion were extraordinary,” he continued. “To the friends and family who knew I was here—thank you for your prayers, visits, and for cheering me up.”
He wrapped up his message by praising Emily, who he married in 2013, for having his back amid the health scare.
“And to my wife, my soulmate — who is so stubborn she wouldn’t leave my side and slept on a bench… I love the shit out of you. Forever,” Baldoni added.
HuffPost has reached out to Baldoni’s reps for comment.
The actor’s 3-million plus fans sent him well wishes in the comments section of his post.
“Oh my goodness, much care and love Justin in your recovery,” one user wrote.
Another commented, “Oh no!!! Glad you’re surrounded by loved ones. Hang in there.”
