Jordan Love pays tribute to Brett Favre with pregame attire

Green Bay Packers quarterback Jordan Love paid tribute to a franchise icon before his team’s Week 4 game against the Minnesota Vikings.

Love walked into Lambeau Field in Green Bay, Wisconsin on Sunday wearing a Brett Favre jersey.

The timing likely was not a coincidence. While delivering his testimony at a Congressional hearing on welfare reform earlier this week, Favre revealed that he was recently diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease.

Favre appreciated the gesture. The Hall of Fame quarterback shared the video on his own X page and said he has “big respect” for Love.

“Big respect to @jordan3love for wearing this old man’s jersey. I didn’t think I could like Jordan anymore until this morning,” Favre wrote.

Favre, who ranks fourth in the NFL all time with 71,838 passing yards, played in the NFL for 20 seasons from 1991-2010. He spent the bulk of his career in Green Bay, where he won a Super Bowl and three consecutive NFL MVP Awards from 1995-1997.

Love has had to follow in the footsteps of both Favre and Aaron Rodgers, which is no easy assignment. His gesture on Sunday will likely go a long way with fans in Green Bay.
