Joe Rogan reacts to crowd chanting ‘F*** Trudeau’ at UFC event

The action of UFC 297 on Saturday night in Toronto may have centred on the main event between Sean Strickland and challenger Dricus du Plessis, but the crowd was hyped about someone else.

The fans at Scotiabank Arena began chanting “f*** Trudeau,” something Joe Rogan enjoyed, even though he wasn’t there to relish it in person.

Rogan was at his Texas studio recording an episode of The Joe Rogan Experience as he and his guests watched the event.

Rogan listens carefully before gleefully confirming to his audience, “F*** Trudeau. They’re yelling f*** Trudeau.”

Podcaster and comedian Brendan Schaub chimed in, “Love it! That guy is a piece of s***.”

Rogan added: “Canada, get your s*** together! Come back. Come back to what you used to be.”

To add insult to injury, the PM’s eldest son, Xavier, was in attendance.

The chant from UFC fans came days after Strickland ripped a reporter in a rant about the prime minister at a press conference prior to the event.

A member of the media pressed Strickland about his past comments concerning the LGBTQ community, prompting the fighter to go on a rant, accusing the reporter of voting for Trudeau and being “part of the f***ing opposition.”

The 32-year-old American called the reporter a “weak f***ing man” and accused him of being “pathetic” and part of the problem.

“You elected Justin Trudeau, when he seized the bank accounts [as part of the Emergencies Act]… And the fact that you’ve got no f***ing backbone … and you ask me some stupid s*** like that, go f*** yourself.”

Du Plessis dethroned Strickland to become the new middleweight champion, winning a split decision after a five-round gruelling battle.
