If you’re someone who is forever tying a hair band around your wrist, forgetting it’s there and then spotting it in a photo later on and cursing yourself for the mistake, there is finally a product for you.
It might seem like a fairly niche problem but in fact there are a great number of people who run into this issue daily and resident van-lifer Tracy Morris was one of them.
One portion of the travelling Instagram group The Blonde Nomads, Tracy founded the brand Gypsea Loop to make an innovative statement with those hair ties — by incorporating them into bangles.

What started as a creative solution to an everyday problem has quickly grown into a beloved brand, earning recognition in the competitive world of fashion and accessories.Gypsea Loop is making headlines as a finalist in two prestigious awards: the SHE-com Product Awards (in the Accessories category) and for Outstanding New Business in the Hunter Business Awards.
These nominations acknowledge the brand’s unique innovation, style, functionality and commitment to eco-conscious practices.
Whether she was filming segments to camera or presenting on stage at adventure shows, Tracy often found herself with an unsightly, tight hair tie on her wrist, spoiling otherwise perfect shots.
This frustration sparked an idea: Why not create a bangle that could securely hold a hair tie without sacrificing comfort or aesthetics?The journey to create these unique bangles is a remarkable story.
With a limited budget, Tracy turned to Upwork to find a talented designer in Uzbekistan.
Together they refined her ideas and brought her vision to life.
The initial prototype was crafted using a friend’s 12-year-old’s 3D printer, turning Tracy’s concepts into reality before she took the bold step to manufacture the finished product.
“I spent weeks wearing a plastic 3D printed bangle on my wrist, putting it to the test and making sure the design was just right”.Gypsea Loop’s bangles are not just about making a fashion statement, they’re also about making a difference.
Each purchase supports ocean conservation projects, reflecting Tracy’s passion for protecting the environment.“Being nominated for these awards is an incredible honour and an amazing boost to help us get our name out there,” Tracy continued.
“We are proud to create a product that not only looks great but also contributes to a greater cause.”
