A man was allegedly forced into a car and taken to another location, where he was assaulted, earlier this year in NSW.
The 38-year-old man was found with facial injuries on February 28 in Rutherford, almost an hour inland from Newcastle.

Paramedics treated the man before taking him to Maitland Hospital, where he was treated and later released.
NSW Police believe the man was forced into a black Holden sedan in the Maitland area early on February 27 and taken to a secondary location, where he was assaulted.
They said he may have been forced into a second black Holden sedan later that day.
CCTV has now been released by police of three men, all believed to be Caucasian and aged in their 30s, who may be able to assist officers with their investigations.
One man is 170 cm to 175cm tall and of solid build.
He is seen in the CCTV footage wearing a white T-shirt, white shoes, black shorts and a light-coloured baseball cap.
A second man is 175cm to 180cm tall and of medium build.
He is seen in the CCTV footage wearing a black jumper with white stripes, black pants, black shoes and a black baseball cap.
The third man shown on the CCTV footage is 175cm to 180cm tall and of large build.
He was seen wearing a navy-coloured T-shirt, light-coloured shorts, black shoes and a baseball cap.
Anyone with relevant information is urged to contact police.
