York Regional Police are seeking an arsonist and appealing for witnesses following a fire at a business in Richmond Hill.

On Feb. 4 around 8 p.m., police were called to a commercial business in the area of Red Maple and High Tech Rds. for a fire.

When officers arrived, Richmond Hill Fire and Emergency Services were putting out blazes in two locations outside a store.
It’s believed the fires were deliberately started.
The business was closed at the time and no one was injured but damage is estimated to be close to $40,000.
The firebug is described as male, wearing a white baseball cap, black jacket, cuffed blue jeans and black shoes.
