How to clean old pots and pans: Aussie’s sparkling results after using $10 ‘miracle’ item

A woman has brought an old frying pan back to life using a $9.95 cleaning product — without spending hours scrubbing.

Christina, who’s one half of Australian lifestyle blog Mr and Mrs Romance, shared a video showing how she removed the burnt-on grease and grime from the bottom of the pan using The Pink Stuff.

The clip shows her putting a generous amount of the viral “miracle” cleaning paste on a dishwashing sponge.

She then rubbed the formula gently on the base of the pan in a circular motion until the stubborn stains were lifted in a matter of minutes.

Christina polished the surface with a clean dry cloth to show the pan’s original sparkling stainless steel.

The video shows her cleaning one half of the pan so she can show viewers the “before” and after” transformation.

The Pink Stuff is a mild abrasive paste cleaner that can be purchased from Clean HQ, Coles or Bunnings Warehouse.

The toxic-free cleaning product has been given a near-perfect five-star rating — with many Aussies sharing their rave reviews.

“It lives up to its name. No wonder it’s called the miracle cleaning paste. It has helped to remove stains and marks beyond my expectation,” one shopper said.

Another shared: “All I can say is OMG! I am obsessed this paste is absolutely amazing. I use it with the Scrub Mommy and it is fabulous! My showers, my sinks and my drain covers! They are so shiny I’m obsessed! Definitely recommend!”

One added: “This saved so much money. I could remove the rust stain on the stone island kitchen counter.”

Another revealed: “I have tried everything to remove rust stains on my stainless steel fridge. I tackled the fridge with The Pink Stuff paste. The rust came off in about 30 seconds and I hardly had to apply any pressure at all. I am just blown away by it. Am now tackling the rest of my kitchen. Will recommend to EVERYONE!”
