Hanifin, Henrique and Tarasenko to make debuts with new teams

After a busy day of trades Wednesday, a handful of players will be making their debuts with their new teams Thursday.

Noah Hanifin, Vladimir Tarasenko and Adam Henrique are among the players who will get a chance to show what they have. Bowen Byram, traded by the Avalanche, is also expected to play against Nashville.

Hanifin was acquired by the Vegas Golden Knights for Daniil Miromanov, a conditional first-round pick and a conditional third-round pick. Head coach Bruce Cassidy said Hanifin will play alongside Alex Pietrangelo.

In his first practice with the Edmonton Oilers, Henrique was skating on a line with Evander Kane and Leon Draisaitl. He was traded from the Anaheim Ducks along with Sam Carrick for a 2024 first-round pick and a conditional 2025 fifth-round pick.

Tarasenko was skating on a line with Sam Reinhart and Aleksander Barkov. The Panthers acquired the veteran defenceman for a conditional 2024 fourth-round pick and 2025 third-round pick.
