The budget session will conclude on February 29. Veteran BJP leader and former finance minister Vajubhai Vala holds the record of presenting the budget a record 18 times. He presented the budget 18 times during Keshubhai Patel’s government from 1998 to 2001 and then during Narendra Modi’s government from 2002.
Yesterday, Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel expressed that the national budget addresses the requirements of all segments of society. In contrast, the Congress party, in opposition, deemed the budget ineffective, citing its failure to provide relief from high taxes. CM Patel, in a post on X, remarked, “The interim budget presented by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, is poised to fulfill the aspirations of millions of people in the country. It encompasses all the necessary elements to cater to every stratum of society.”
