Shoppers are swooning over a ‘very flattering’ summer dress from White Stuff that has had its price slashed in the brand’s summer sale. The Rua Jersey Print Midi Dress, now £52 down from £65, falls to an elegant midi length and is made from a soft cotton blend.
Coming in seven different colours and patterns, including green, blue, red and spotty, fashion fans love this style so much they’ve stocked up on the various different iterations of the frock.
The dress features a shirt-style collar and button-up fastening. It floats into an empire-line skirt, which skims the waistline and “hangs nicely”.
Available in petite and regular sizes from six to 24, the dress is praised for its versatility, with many shoppers stating how easy it is to dress up and down for any occasion.
One called it the ‘perfect holiday dress’ and cited: “I bought this as a dress to pop on in the evenings whilst touring The Loire. It’s been in my suitcase for a week and there isn’t a crease on it. It’s a perfect dress to pack, I’ve worn it with a cream jacket and natural wedge sandals and plan to dress it down with pumps and a denim jacket. I’m considering getting it in another print or two as a wardrobe staple.”
Another, who loves the style so much they’ve got three, added: “This rua dress is no 3 for me,such a comfortable dress to wear, great fit. It is so stylish and can be worn casual or dressed up, always feel good in it,always commented on, love it.”
As stated by several shoppers, too, the dress is ‘crease proof’ making it the perfect garment to store in your suitcase on holiday. One remarked: “A lovely dress with a flattering design that skims over the stomach area. Soft non creasy material that hangs beautiful and is very comfortable. Suitable for smart or casual wear. I’m 5′ 2″ size 12 on top and 14 on bottom. This dress in size 12 petite was perfect.”
Another added how it’s a dress for women of all and any ages due to its timeless shape and style, and said: “The dress is a perfect fit (5ft 9ins/40D bust). It can be dressed up with heels or down with sneakers. Worn either way, I have received compliments. Impressive, given that women my age tend to be invisible. The dress would look good at any age, though, as on the model.”
Despite over 1600 rave reviews, a number of fashion fans weren’t 100% happy with the looser fit on the waistline with some calling for it to be more fitted. Others explained how the buttons ‘gaped’ too much for their liking across the chest, meaning they sent the product back.
One said: “Lovely dress, however, it gapes at the buttons across the chest. I bought a size bigger than I normally wear so it fitted across the bust, but unfortunately it wasn’t to be and i had to send it back. On the whole though the dress itself is gorgeous, just a shame about the fit across chest.”
