Hollywood stars have arrived on the red carpet for the 2024 Golden Globe Awards – and they’ve all put in a lot of effort with their outfits.
This year’s awards season kicks off tonight and will give a strong indication of who is going to win big at the Oscars in March.
The three-hour long spectacle begins at 8pm EST, which means viewers in the UK will have to stay up until 1am to watch the live show.
Comedian Jo Koy will be hosting proceedings from the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Los Angeles and will be hoping to avoid any scandals.
The presenters and nominees have certainly dressed to impress tonight, including Heidi Klum in a head turning red dress and 19-year-old The Last of Us star Bella Ramsey.

Ted Lasso favourite Hannah Waddingham
The Game of Thrones actress wore a blue collared shirt with grey trousers.
Fellow GOT star Hannah Waddingham, who is now best known for her role in Ted Lasso, was in a stunning lace corset dress.
“I woke up at, like, 8 o’clock, had some brekkie. And I’ve had some chips, french fries, before I’ve come here,” she confessed. “So I’m all good to go.”

One of the stand out celebs was Nicolas Cage, who looked very dashing in his glimmering tux on his actual birthday.
“I’m just looking at this as one big birthday party, ” said the actor. “Everyone is just here for my birthday party.”
Amanda Seyfried, who wowed with her big shiny bow, spoke about shooting the Mean Girls commercial for Walmart.
“It was a dream reunion. A pinch me thing. Two days, a lot of catch up,” she said. When asked about a reviva, she added: “It’s not up to me but I think we’d all enjoy more time together.”
Ageless Helen Mirren brought elegance to the red carpet in her purple gown, while Margot Robbie obviously had to go with a Barbie theme.

Barbenheimer’s rematch returns as Barbie leads the Golden Globe nominations with nine nods to Oppenheimer’s eight.
Meanwhile, Killers of the Flower Moon and Poor Things are joint third with seven nominations each.
The Golden Globes has seen some big changes this time round, after CBS picked up the rights to air the awards.
In 2021, the Los Angeles Times reported that there were no Black members in the Hollywood Foreign Press Association, which voted on the awards.
Stars and even some studios boycotted the Globes and former broadcaster NBC refused to air it in 2022 as a result.

After the group added journalists of color to its ranks and added other reforms to address ethical concerns, the show returned in January 2023 in a one-year probationary agreement with NBC, but is now on CBS.
In June, billionaire and Chelsea owner Todd Boehly was granted approval to dissolve the HFPA and reinvent the Golden Globes as a for-profit organization.
Its assets were acquired by Boehly’s Eldridge Industries, along with Dick Clark Productions, a group that is owned by Penske Media.
Many celebs turned down the opportunity to host the awards, including Chris Rock and Ali Wong.
