Gisele Bundchen splits with boyfriend after Tom Brady roast

It looks like a roast made things a bit too hot for one couple to handle.

Gisele Bundchen and boyfriend Joaquim Valente reportedly have called things off in the wake of the Netflix roast of her ex-husband, Tom Brady.

According to a report by InTouch Weekly the “spotlight was too much” for Valente, who had been Bundchen’s jiu-jitsu trainer before their relationship turned romantic last year.

“Joaquim’s a regular guy,” the source said the outlet. “He’s not used to all the attention he was getting.”

While it is unclear when the couple called it quits, they haven’t been photographed together since late April.

The insider said some of the jabs taken during the comedy special at the couple’s relationship didn’t sit well with Valente and that led towards things taking a turn for the worse between the two.

“Joaquim became part of the joke. People actually started asking him if he was the reason for their divorce,” the source added. “He hated that.”

Bundchen, 43, reportedly puts the blame for this failed relationship on Brady.

“By agreeing to do the roast, he basically put a target on Joaquim’s back,” they said and that she “blames the break on Tom.”

Bundchen did not respond to requests for comment.

During the roast, the romance between Bundchen and Valente was brought up on numerous occasions.

“How much would it suck for Tom … just knowing your ex-wife’s new boyfriend could beat your a** while eating hers,” comedian Nikki Glaser joked during the broadcast, which aired live on Netflix.

She also joked that the only thing “dumber” than Brady agreeing to do the roast was telling Bundchen to “try jiu-jitsu.”

“You have seven rings … well, eight now that Gisele gave hers back,” she quipped.

Bundchen, a former Victoria’s Secret supermodel, reportedly was “deeply disappointed” by the jokes about her and that she felt the former NFL MVP “once again put football before his family.”

The Brazilian bombshell and Brady – who divorced in 2022 after 13 years of marriage — have two children together, Benjamin, 14, and Vivian, 11.

While there were rumours that the supermodel had cheated on Brady before their marriage ended, she vehemently denied them.

“This is something that happens to a lot of women who get blamed when they have the courage to leave an unhealthy relationship and are labeled as being unfaithful,” she told the New York Times earlier this year.

“No one really knows what happens between two people, only the two people in the relationship.” 

A report earlier this year by Page Six revealed that the relationship between Bundchen and Valente had turned romantic.

“They’re deeply in love,” said an insider, with another noting that their romance began during the summer of 2023.
