During a campaign speech in Pennsylvania on Saturday, Trump boasted, “I’m a better-looking person than” the vice president.
“I am much better looking than her,” he told supporters.
Meyers took a long beat to recover from the comment after it aired on “Late Night.”
“Republicans are basically saying to Trump, ‘We still have a chance if we focus on the economy.’ And his response is, ‘What if we make it about looks? I go full thirst trap on social. Just flood the zone with different poses,’” Meyers quipped.
The Republican nominee has brought up his opponent’s looks on multiple occasions recently, repeatedly mentioning the Democrat’s Time magazine cover portrait.
Last week, he compared Harris to his wife, Melania Trump, saying the vice president looked like a “beautiful actress” in the Time cover and “didn’t look like Kamala.”
It comes as Republicans implore him to hone in on policy issues like the economy as Harris surges forward in the polls.
