'Full House' property in San Francisco listed for $6.5 million

SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) – Would you like to live in the San Francisco house that once belonged to the fictional Tanner family? Well, now may be your opportunity as the house portrayed in the hit 1980s sitcom “Full House” is up for sale.

The three-story home at 1709 Broderick St. is currently on sale for $6.5 million, according to a listing from real estate company Coldwell Banker. The 3,737-square-foot property is in Lower Pacific Heights.

“Full House” was not actually filmed on the Broderick Street property. Instead, most of the filming was reportedly done at Warner Bros. Studios in Los Angeles. However, the exterior shots between scenes in the show display this San Francisco home.

Cast members’ handprints are “negotiable in the sale and can be discussed with any verified buyer,” the real estate company said. It is unknown which cast members the handprints belong to.

The house was listed for sale Thursday. It was last sold in 2016 for $4 million, according to Coldwell Banker.

The Victorian home has four bedrooms, three full bathrooms, one partial bathroom and a two-car garage. According to the real estate agent, the property was built in 1900 and was renovated in 2019 by world-renowned architect Richard Landry.

“This is an amazing opportunity to own a piece of television history that just happens to be a work of fine craftsmanship and finish,” said Rachel Swann of Coldwell Banker. “It’s decadent, opulent and unparalleled in its price point.”

The Broderick Street home is not the only one in San Francisco with pop culture ties to go on the market within the past year. The mansion in the 2001 film “Princess Diaries” sold for nearly $9 million in March 2023.
