France v Poland LIVE: Euro 2024 score updates as Mbappe denied three times by sensational Skorupski

A slightly naughty one from Theo Hernandez as the sliding left-back flicks out a boot at the ankle of a clearing Poland player.

France’s substitutes have begun to warm-up in earnest. Olivier Giroud? Antoine Griezmann? It surely won’t be long before Didier Deschamps looks to his bench.

More good work from Lukasz Skorupski. The Poland goalkeeper picks up from where he left off, first turning away a Ousmane Dembele cross-cum-shot before beating away a Kylian Mbappe effort.

He’s nowhere near Mbappe’s next attempt, but there isn’t the requisite curl on the shot to turn inside the post. Still Mbappe seeks his first goal at the Euros.

No obvious signs of any tactical tweaks from France at the start of the half, still in that same shape with Bradley Barcola off the left, Ousmane Dembele the right and Kylian Mbappe through the middle.

Another frustrating half for France in front of goal with a member of Didier Deschamps’ squad still yet to score at this tournament. Some of their build-up play has been excellent but they’ve faced stern resistance from Lukasz Skorupski, seizing his opportunity in the Poland goal. Kylian Mbappe has warmed to his work on his return, testing Skorupski twice towards the end of the half, but as things stand it will be second spot for France with Austria’s one-goal advantage over the Netherlands enough to secure their place at the top of the group.

Didier Deschamps boldly still has his jacket on even with a swathe of sunshine baking the technical area, the France manager working up a sweat as he paces and gesticulates.
