A knife-wielding man involved in a murder investigation allegedly attacked four girls inside a Massachusetts movie theatre and injured two others at a McDonald’s during a stabbing spree on Saturday.
The attacks started inside the AMC Braintree 10 movie theatre near Boston at 6 p.m., when an armed suspect walked in past the ticket booth without paying.

The man allegedly stabbed four girls, whose ages ranged from nine to 17, without saying anything, Braintree police said on Saturday night. The girls were taken to Boston-area hospitals with non-life-threatening injuries.
An AMC employee said the man as wearing an “oversized trench coat, sunglasses and a long blond wig,” according to CBS Boston.

The man fled the multiplex in an SUV and drove about 50 km to Plymouth, Mass., where he was allegedly involved in a “similar assault” at a McDonald’s.
At 7:09 p.m., Massachusetts police responded to the McDonald’s in Plymouth, where they discovered a 21-year-old female and a 29-year-old male suffering from stab wounds.
They were also treated at a hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.
“Preliminary investigation suggests a likely connection to an earlier incident at a movie theatre in Braintree resulting in non-life-threatening injuries to four juveniles,” the Massachusetts State Police said.

The suspect lead police on a chase before crashing. He was taken into custody and was treated at a hospital.
The suspect is also believed to be linked to a murder investigation in Deep River, Conn.
“At approximately 3:36 p.m., Connecticut State Police responded to a report of a disturbance at an address in the town of Deep River,” police said.
One person was found dead at the scene and a “suspect in this investigation has been taken into custody.”
Connecticut State Police issued an alert earlier on Saturday for the suspect, describing the man as “armed and dangerous” with a 10-inch knife, CBS Boston said.
