Cosgrove was speaking with her former Drake and Josh co-star, Josh Peck, on the Good Guys podcast, when the topic of drinking came up.

Peck asked Cosgrove: “Do you drink? Do you do any of that?”

“I’ve never been drunk in my entire life,” she told Peck.

“I truly don’t have a good reason.

“I’ve never even been buzzed. I’ve sipped things before but, like, two sips.”

Adding that she has never smoked either, she shared that she did once consume an “edible brownie” that led to a 17-hour sleep.

“I think it started off because I was always the designated driver when I went out with my friends, and I sort of liked taking on that role and got used to it and just kind of stuck with it forever,” she explained.

However looking ahead, Cosgrove said she is “open to (drinking) at some point… even though I’m 30”.

Cosgrove and Peck starred alongside each other on the Nickelodeon series Drake and Josh between 2004 and 2007.

During the height of his fame, Peck developed a drug and alcohol problem. He has remained sober since 2008.

“Someone get this girl s***-housed, would ya?” he said, visibly stunned by his friend’s response.

“I mean, this poor girl has never experienced being drunk.”

Peck has previously opened up about his sobriety, saying it remains the “foundation that has kept me really anchored”.

“I’m lucky to have found recovery through a 12 steps program almost 14 years ago, and it’s something that I still do regularly to this day,” he told Page Six.

“It gives me a lot of structure in my life.

“It’s really the bedrock of my life and from it, all these wonderful things have been built.”
