Three Toronto men are charged and a loaded firearm and drugs seized following a Toronto Police foot patrol in a northwest neighbourhood sparked by “community concerns about drug use and drug trafficking.”

In a release on Sunday, police said officers were in the Jane St. and Wilson Ave. area when they came across three men who were “in a garage unit that did not belong to them.”

Police said that “during the investigation, a loaded firearm was located where the men were sitting.”

Two of the men were arrested without incident while the third ran off and was nabbed “after a short foot pursuit.”

A Smith and Wesson 9mm firearm with 13 rounds of 9mm Luger ammunition was allegedly seized.

After the arrests, officers executed search warrants at addresses in the Chalkfarm Dr. and Jane St area and seized a quantity of cash and drugs including crack, meth, cocaine, oxycodone and fentanyl, police said.

Romaro Rolando Thompson, 23, Romario Orlando Thompson, 23, and Kody Mariam, 21, each face numerous weapons and drug charges.
