Passengers said they were told there was an issue with the steering after the plane had landed, and the plane had to be towed in for them to disembark.

“It was a bit concerning when we saw the firetruck,” one passenger said.

Another man said the plane was stuck on the tarmac for some time.

“It was pretty terrifying when there’s no steering,” he said.

Despite the issue, one passenger said the landing was “normal” and calm, as most travellers were unaware there was an issue.

Aviation Fire and Rescue crews were on standby, but the plane landed without incident.

The aircraft will be serviced by engineers before its next flight.
