Faulconbridge, Blue Mountains deaths: Two children found dead in home as woman is taken to hospital under police guard

A murder investigation is underway after two children were found dead in a New South Wales home, with a woman taken to hospital under police guard.

7NEWS understands police were called to an address on Chapman Parade in Faulconbridge about 12.40pm on Tuesday due to concern for the welfare of a woman and two children.

The bodies of two boys, aged nine and 11, were found inside the home by a relative.

A 42-year-old woman was taken to Westmead Hospital under police guard in a stable condition.

There is no ongoing threat to the community. Police are not looking for anyone else.
