Justin Bieber’s father-in-law Stephen Baldwin has sparked fan concerns after posting a worrying message on social media.
The 57-year-old actor took to Instagram stories asking for his followers’ “prayers” for the singer and his wife Hailey, who is Baldwin’s daughter.

The star of the 1995 crime thriller Usual Suspects shared a video of Justin singing, which was originally posted by evangelical minister Victor Marx.
“Christians please, when you think of Justin & Hailey, take a moment to offer a little prayer for them to have wisdom, protection, and draw close to the Lord,” Marx’s post said.
Marx is the founder of All Things Possible Ministries, a US-based Christian organisation that claims in its Instagram bio to “exist to set captives free — physically, emotionally & spiritually”.
He wrote that he and his wife Eileen and Hailey’s mother Kennya “pray often together” for the couple, who have been married for five years.
“There are special challenges that folks in high visibility positions face and also the enemy doesn’t want them to draw closer to Jesus,” Marx said.
“So often regardless of the material things or the accolades they often face spiritual warfare that intense and seeks to ship-wreck their faith, marriage and life in general. So thank you.”
Stephen Baldwin, who is a brother of actor Alec Baldwin and a devout Christian who regularly posts religious messages on his Instagram, then went on to repost the video.
Followers on Marx’s personal Instagram page took to the comments section to say they regularly “prayed” for the celebrity couple.
One person, who claimed to have been the couple’s massage therapist until two years ago, described Bieber as “trapped” by his celebrity.
“He’s a good kid but very trapped and with spiritual warfare,” the follower wrote.
“Breaks my heart to see him suffer and he has so many demons in in the industry hovering around him and on his team.”
Another asked a more direct question.
“What happened?” the follower wrote. “Are they okay?”
Over the years, the Biebers have been associated with the Hillsong church, although they backed away after high-profile married pastor Carl Lentz was thrown out of the church for having an affair.
In 2021, the singer said he was no longer affiliated with Hillsong and had joined Churchome.
Prior to that, Justin and Hailey Bieber regularly attended Hillsong services together.
The pair, who met in 2009 and married in 2018, started out as friends but then reconnected through the church and later fell in love.
In a revealing 2021 interview with GQ, Bieber — who rose to fame when he was only 15 — opened up on the complex relationship between his prior drug abuse, his marriage and his Christianity.
“I have a wife who I adore, who I feel comforted by. I feel safe,” he said.
“I feel like my relationship with God is wonderful.
“And I have this outpouring of love that I want to be able to share with people, you know?”
But it hadn’t always been so good, he admitted.
“It was like I had all this success and it was still like: I’m still sad, and I’m still in pain,” he revealed.
“And I still have these unresolved issues.
“And I thought all the success was going to make everything good.
“And so for me, the drugs were a numbing agent to just continue to get through.”
