A former restaurant manager in Oshawa is facing multiple sex assault charges involving staff

Jeyaraam Sivagnanasundaram, 38, has been charged with three counts of sexual assault and two counts of sexual exploitation after two complainants in March alleged they were sexually assaulted at work.

Durham Regional Police say the Oshawa man, known as “Ram,” was working at the time as a manager at One Eyed Jack’s, located at 33 Taunton Rd. W. He no longer works there and police say he may be working at other restaurants in the GTA and the New Hamburg/Kitchener area. Cops said there may be other alleged victims.

STOLEN CLASSIC CARS
Two Stirling men are facing multiple charges after a search warrant resulted in the seizure of several stolen vehicles, including classic cars.

The OPP’s Lambton County Crime Unit acted on a late 2023 complaint regarding stolen vehicles with a combined value of approximately $3 million.
Officers seized 16 vehicles as proceeds of crime, OPP say.
Both Robert Bradshaw, 54, and Gary LeBlanc, 55, have been charged with theft of motor vehicles over $5,000, fraud over $5,000, use forged documents and conspiracy to commit an indictable offence.
LeBlanc also faces an uttering threats charge.
They both have been released to appear to Belleville court at an unspecified date.

SUSPICIOUS LOTTERY WIN
OPP have laid charges against two women in relation to a suspicious Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation (OLG) win at a retail outlet in Mitchell.

Police say they received information on Dec. 14, 2023 regarding the win and it was subsequently alleged the winning ticket was stolen by a store employee and the $50,000 cash prize claimed by her associate.
Anita Russell, 44, of Mitchell, and Melanie Thompson, 51, of Stratford, has been both been charged with fraud over $5,000.
Russell faces additional charges of theft over $5,000 and possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000, while Thompson also faces possession of stolen property over $5,000.
FRAUDULENT BANKING TRANSACTIONS
Two people are charged and one is sought by Peel Regional Police in relation to a series of fraudulent banking transactions made across Canada.
It’s alleged that between February and April, the trio took part in a scheme that involved opening several fraudulent business accounts and depositing hundreds of counterfeit cheques. The total dollar loss is believed to be more than $250,000.

Harkomal Grewal, 35, of Brampton, and Aviraj Salota, 26, from Niagara Falls, Ont., have been charged with two counts each of fraud over $5,000 and uttering forged documents.
A Canada-wide warrant has been issued for Syed Kirmani, 48, of Brampton, for five counts each of fraud over $5,000, and utter forged documents.

Peel police are working with other law enforcement agencies across the country to identify more incidents and potentially more suspects.
