Emergency Valentine’s Day roses delivery for Sydney

It’s the day of love as Australians express their affections for Valentine’s Day.

However, in a study commissioned by delivery platform Menulog, it was revealed that half of romantics in NSW only started contemplating Valentine’s Day a mere seven days before the occasion.

More than 40 per cent of individuals admitted to finding themselves in a panic as they attempted to purchase flowers en route to work, with some even procrastinating until their journey back home from work.

Sixty per cent of those surveyed in NSW agreed that presenting flowers on Valentine’s Day is a non-negotiable tradition.

So if you’ve left things to the last minute, Menulog has launched an emergency rose delivery service in collaboration with online florist, Interflora.

The service is expected to send hundreds of orange roses to romantics across Sydney via dedicated “emergency” vehicles. The service is being dubbed a lifeline for those who may have overlooked securing a rose for their loved ones in the hustle and bustle of Valentine’s Day.

Interflora CEO Gerry Gerrard said the Menulog partnership marked a milestone in the company’s almost 70 years of operating in Australia.

“In the spirit of love, this Valentine’s Day we’re changing things up by introducing a unique rose delivery service in partnership with Menulog, which is part of our journey to provide a whole new level of access for Australians and their flower deliveries,” Gerrard said in a statement provided to 7NEWS.com.au.

The emergency rose delivery service will be available at Wynyard Park between 12pm and 2pm, and Manly Wharf in the evening rush from 4pm until 6pm — where an emergency Valentine’s Day rose can be picked up for free.
