Elvis Presley dated countless women during his short 42 years, but one of his most serious and long-lasting relationships aside from his marriage to Priscilla Presley was with Linda Thompson.
The King dated the Miss Tennessee model from 1972-76 and the couple lived together at Graceland.
They split amicably around eight months before his death and to this day she pays loving tribute to his legacy.
Regularly posting old photos of herself with Elvis on social media, Linda’s latest snap features the couple sitting together, with The King holding up a police badge.
Linda captioned the Instagram post: “Monday musing… That time I was happily placed under arrest by Officer Presley for being too cute and young…”
Elvis was a big supporter of local law enforcement and was gifted many honourary badges by police forces around the USA.
One fan commented: “Oh what a nice picture Linda! Who wouldn’t want to be arrested by that hunk. What a beautiful couple you two made!”
