This Monday, the Elvis Presley Birthday Proclamation will take place with a giant cake on the front lawn of Graceland.
The King, who died at just 42 in 1977, would have been 89 and continues to be loved by fans and those who knew him the world over.
Linda Thompson, who lived with the star when dating him between 1972-76 has paid tribute to him on her Instagram.
The 73-year-old posted a collage of photos from her relationship with Elvis in a video from the Tiktok account @lalalindathompson.”
She captioned it: “Flashback Friday… By popular demand… The absolute most famous, talented, innovative, world-rattling, precious person I was privileged to love & be loved by… so honoured to have gotten to know this icon as intimately as anyone could ever know another. There will only ever be One original… One Elvis.”
