Comedian and TV host Ellen DeGeneres has abruptly cancelled four live shows just weeks into her ‘Ellen’s Last Stand … Up’ tour.
The stand-up comedy shows in Dallas, San Francisco, Seattle and Chicago scheduled for July and August were cancelled this week.
However, other scheduled shows in Austin, Boston and Washington – among others – appear to be going ahead with tickets still available for shows as soon as one in Denver on Monday.

The tour is currently scheduled to run until the end of August.
“Unfortunately, the Event Organizer has had to cancel your event,” Ticketmaster said in a statement.
“You don’t need to do a thing. We’ll issue a refund to the original method of payment used at time of purchase, as soon as funds are received from the Event Organizer. It should appear on your account within 14-21 days.”
The tour is the embattled comedian’s first major project since The Ellen DeGeneres Show finished its run in 2022.
DeGeneres hosted her daytime show for 19 seasons. In 2020, staffers alleged in a Buzzfeed report that the production environment on set was toxic – a contrast to the happy tone of the show and her public image.
She later apologised on air saying that she “learned that things happened here that never should have happened.”
“I take that very seriously and I want to say I am so sorry to the people that were affected. I know that I am in a position of privilege and power and with that comes responsibility and I take responsibility for what happens at my show,” DeGeneres said.
She has previously claimed that the controversy was not her reason for ending the show.
