A 46-year-old woman has been charged with allegedly assaulting and robbing a 92-year-old woman after breaking into her home through her bedroom window west of Newcastle.
The accused allegedly pushed the 92-year-old, who fell and was injured, before stealing items including her purse on Wednesday about 10.30pm.
NSW Paramedics treated the elderly woman for minor cuts and a shoulder injury at her home on Denison St in Hamilton.

“The younger woman allegedly stole cash, purses and several cards before fleeing the property,” NSW Police said.
Police said the accused woman was at Waratah Police Station for an unrelated matter at 5.15pm on Thursday when she was arrested over the break and enter.
She was charged with aggravated break and enter with intent and breach of bail.
She was refused bail and will appear before Newcastle Local Court on Friday.
