This year she turned 65, marking the occasion with a thoughtful video to her Instagram followers about ageing.

Along with her all-female group, she dominated the charts with hits including Manic Monday, Walk Like an Egyptian and Eternal Flame.

The Bangles’ lead singer Susanna Hoffs posted the clip on January 21, four days after her 65th birthday, garnering positive responses from fans and celebrity friends.
“I’m 65! Time marches on but it’s all good,” she said smiling at the camera.
“No makeup,” she said, referencing her smooth skin.
“It’s gonna be okay. Getting older is okay it really is. Older and wiser.”
She reinforced the message in her caption, writing: “Older BUT wiser! #65.”
Actress Michelle Pfeiffer said: “65 years of awesomeness.”
“You are fab. I’m 66. It’s all good,” make-up artist Bobbi Brown said.
“Yes but you look 45!!!” one fan said.
“Most beautiful 65-year-old woman in the world,” another said.
The Bangles classic line-up comprised founding members Hoffs, Vicki Peterson (guitar and vocals), and Vicki’s younger sister Debbi Peterson (drums and vocals), with Michael Steele (bass and vocals).
The Los Angeles-based group formed in 1981 before breaking up in 1989.
The girl group reformed in 1998 and have been performing ever since.
