Disney have announced a couple of new release dates and delayed one of their upcoming blockbusters.
Star Wars TV show The Mandalorian is getting the big screen treatment with The Mandalorian and Grogu set for release in cinemas on May 22, 2026.
It’s currently unclear if there will be a fourth season of the series before the blockbuster.
Meanwhile, Toy Story 5 now has a release date of June 19, 2026, while Frozen 3 continues to be slated for 2026 too.
As previously announced, Moana 2 lands on November 29 this year meaning the live-action remake of the original movie has be postponed. The live-action Moana has been pushed back from June 27, 2025 to July 10, 2026.
Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson is reprising his role as the demigod Maui. Meanwhile, Moana star Auli-i Cravalho, who reprises her voice part as the Disney princess in Moana 2, will be recast for the live-action remake on which she is an executive producer.
The Mandalorian, Toy Story movies and Moana are all streaming now on Disney+.
