“The Daily Show” laid bare Fox News’ latest double standards in a supercut.
On Wednesday, the Comedy Central program aired footage of personalities on the conservative network tearing into President Joe Biden’s son Hunter Biden following his conviction on three felony firearms charges.
But they imagined the hosts were talking about Donald Trump and the former president’s hush money conviction. Of course, Fox has responded to the two convictions in very different ways.
“Fox News alert. Guilty, guilty, guilty. For the first time in his life, a white, privileged, spoiled brat faced the music,” crowed Jesse Watters in the video. “The evidence in this case was overwhelming. It was incontrovertible,” Sean Hannity gleefully declared. Emily Compagno, Jeanine Pirro, Laura Ingraham, Greg Gutfeld and others agreed.
“If you change the footage from Hunter Biden to Trump, Fox News makes some really good points!” the show captioned the montage.
