“The Daily Show” correspondent Desi Lydic gave Donald Trump the floor to ramble about “whatever the fuck” he wanted to Thursday as she mocked what the former president called an “intellectual” economic policy speech this week.
Lydic poked fun at Trump’s “focus on the issues” during the campaign rally speech where he touched on President Joe Biden’s interest in ice cream.
“They don’t use a picture, they use an artist’s sketch,” the Republican nominee told a North Carolina crowd on Wednesday.
He continued, “I want to use that artist. I want to find that artist. I like him very much.”
Lydic swiftly drew a response for the former president’s artistic wishes.
“Donald, do you really need a new sketch artist? I feel like you have plenty of sketches,” replied Lydic as courtroom sketches of Trump appeared on screen.
