A woman was stabbed during a robbery at an Oakville drug store Tuesday afternoon.

And the two bandits behind the heist remain on the loose.

Halton Regional Police say the holdup occurred at Abbeywood Pharmacy on Abbeywood Dr. – northeast of Third Line and Hwy. 403 – around 5:30 p.m.
Two men entered the business, one of who was armed with a knife.
“A customer in the store got into a confrontation with one of the (crooks) and was stabbed with a knife,” police said Wednesday.

The other bandit was “confronted by an employee,” police said, adding the culprits both ended up fleeing the store empty-handed.
The injured customer, reportedly a woman in her 40s who was stabbed in her back, was transported to hospital but police said her stab wound was not considered life-threatening.
Police are looking for two men who were wearing disguises and dark clothing.
The investigation is ongoing.
