A Toronto Police officer has been injured in a collision between an unmarked police car and a stolen vehicle.

It happened Monday at 5:31 p.m. in the area of Victoria Park Ave. and Craighton Dr.
The officer suffered minor injuries and was treated at the scene.
Two people were arrested.
STABBING IN EAST END
Police are investigating a stabbing in the city’s east end.
Toronto Police were called on Monday at 5:27 p.m. to a stabbing in an apartment in the area of Thorncliffe Park Dr. and Overlea Blvd.
A suspect was arrested and a victim was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
FIREARM DISCHARGE
A west-end business has been shot at in a drive-by for the second time in two days.
Police said at 3:14 a.m. on Tuesday the business in the area of Eglinton Ave. and Bathurst St. was shot at and a firearm discharge was located.

Police say the shots were fired from a vehicle.
There were no reported injuries.

PEEL POLICE CRACK DOWN ON BAD DRIVERS
Peel Police laid nearly 280 driving-related charges over the weekend and seized several vehicles in the problem area of Ridgeway Plaza in Mississauga.
Throughout the weekend, officers laid 248 highway traffic act charges that included speeding, unnecessary muffler noise, illegal tinted windows, 22 highway traffic act summons for stunt driving and street racing. Five vehicles were seized, four license suspensions were issued, and one stolen vehicle was recovered.

“This is the second weekend this month of conducting strategic enforcement to ensure road safety in the surrounding areas of the Ridgeway Plaza in Mississauga.,” Peel police said in a news release.
“Peel Regional Police continues to remind drivers that there is no excuse and there will be no tolerance for street racing, stunt driving, excessive speed or unnecessary noise from vehicles. Beyond the penalties, this type of behaviour puts everyone on our roads at risk.”
