Toronto Police said the man, who has a history of sexual violence, failed to comply with his release order earlier this month.
Police said a man was released from a correctional facility on May 13 with a condition to report to police weekly.
However, cops allege the man did not report to police as required last week and this week.
He was not located at his residence where he was to reside either at the time, police added.
On Friday, police said the offender was located and there is no further risk to public safety.
