A crew member working on the upcoming Marvel series Wonder Man has died after an accident on set.
The rigger, 41-year-old Juan Carlos Osorio, died on Tuesday after falling from rafters.
Osorio was responsible for setting up pulleys, cables, ropes and other equipment to lift large and heavy objects used in filming.

“Our thoughts and deepest condolences are with his family and friends, and our support is behind the investigation into the circumstances of this accident,” Marvel Studios said in a statement to CNN.
Los Angeles Police officers responded to CBS Radford Studios about 6.55 am local time on Tuesday.
No foul play was suspected and the death investigation was ongoing, LAPD spokesperson Charles Miller said.
The new series Wonder Man was set to star Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, an actor who had appeared in Aquaman and HBO’s Watchmen.
Wonder Man is a lesser-known Marvel character first introduced in the ’60s.
The project was announced in June 2022.
Filming first began in early April 2023 before it shut down in late May due to the SAG strikes.
The series resumed filming in early January 2024.
The show was set to stream on Disney+. It does not currently have a release date.
