Cowboys CB calls out teammates in profane rant after losses

Few would have predicted before the season started that the Dallas Cowboys would be 1-2 heading into Week 4 against the New York Giants.

But that’s exactly where the Cowboys find themselves after a 28-25 loss to the Baltimore Ravens at home on Sunday. Many are searching for answers for the team’s slow start, but cornerback Jourdan Lewis believes it starts with the players taking accountability for not doing their jobs.

“We got to see how we can stop people,” Lewis told reporters. “At the end of the day, this s— is about us stopping people. That’s just what it is. We got to be credible, f—ing accountable every single play. That’s 60 minutes of football.”

Lewis isn’t the only Cowboys player frustrated with their current situation. Following Sunday’s loss, defensive lineman Demarcus “Tank” Lawrence said the team was “playing little league football.”

So, what needs to be fixed? Well, Dallas can start with its defense. In the team’s losses to the New Orleans Saints and Baltimore Ravens, fingers can be pointed squarely at the defense.

The Cowboys surrendered 432 total yards to the Saints and 456 total yards to the Cowboys while allowing a combined 48 first downs, 464 yards rushing and seven rushing touchdowns.

Their defensive play was so poor against the Ravens that Lawrence and Micah Parsons started jawing with one another on the sidelines.
