A P-plate driver has lost his licence after speeding more than 45 km/h over the limit on a NSW motorway.
The young man was caught driving 154km/h on the M1 in Sydney’s Mount Druitt region about 9.45pm on June 9.
He was pulled over by NSW Police and showed them his P1 licence, which has a speed limit restriction of 90km/h.

The driver was rushing to get his passengers home before curfew, he told police.
NSW P1 drivers aged under 25 cannot have more than one passenger under 21 in their car between 11pm and 5am.
The driver was issued a fine for speeding more than 45km/h over the limit, which carries a maximum fine of $3300 in NSW.
His licence was suspended on the spot for at least six months, and he lost 12 demerit points due to King’s Birthday weekend double demerits.
He had only held his licence for a month.
