Cop injured in hit-and-run collision outside Rogers Centre

A Toronto Police officer was transported to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries after being struck by the driver of a motorcycle in a hit-and-run collision just outside the Rogers Centre stadium Saturday.

According to police, a motorcycle was seen popping wheelies in the area of Lake Shore Blvd. W. and Rees St.

Police say, just before 6 p.m., an officer attempted to stop the rider at Bremner Blvd. and Rees St. However, the motorcycle struck and injured the officer and failed to stay at the scene.

Investigators provided an image of the driver and the motorcycle.

The suspect is described as a man wearing a green and blue shirt, grey pants, red gloves, green helmet, and white and gray Nike Jordan shoes.

The motorcycle is described as a blue and red sport bike.

Cops say investigators are seeking any dash camera footage, security camera footage or information that may assist with identifying the motorcycle and driver involved in this incident.
