CONCOR among 32 stocks to trade ex-dividend tomorrow; last chance to buy

State-owned company Container Corporation of India (CONCOR) and 31 other companies are likely to remain in focus today as they have set September 18 as the record date to determine shareholders’ eligiblility for dividend payments.

This means today is the last day to buy shares of these companies to qualify for the announced dividends.

Earlier in August, the board of CONCOR had announced a final dividend of Rs 2.50 per share for its eligible shareholders.

“The Company has rewarded its shareholders by paying dividend every quarter. During the year three interim dividends totalling to 180% (Rs.9.00 per share) were paid and a final dividend of 50% (Rs.2.50 per share) has been recommended. The total dividend for the year would be Rs.700.69 Crores which would be 56.93% of the net profit,” the company had said in a filing to the exchanges.

In the past 12 months, CONCOR has declared an equity dividend amounting to Rs 11 per share and at the price of Rs 951.50, the company’s dividend yield is 1.16%, according to Trendlyne data.

The shares of CONCOR closed nearly 1% lower at Rs 951.65 on BSE on Monday.
