The T1 North Shore and Western Line, T5 Cumberland Line and Blue Mountains lines were affected.

Commuters on the T1 line were urged to allow an extra 15 minutes of travel time, before trains began returning to normal running times about 11am.

Commuters on the T5 Line were also urged to allow extra travel time, and may have needed to change at Granville to complete their journey before trains began returning to normal about 11am.

It comes after the T1, T5 and multiple other lines were disrupted on Monday.

Those disruptions were also caused by urgent repairs.

The T5 was not running for several hours, eventually returning at a reduced frequency.
