Chilling Nostradamus prediction on King Charles resurfaces

An eerie prediction by 16th century astrologer Nostradamus has resurfaced in the wake of King Charles’ recent cancer news.

The French physician and reputed “seer” is famous for his uncannily accurate predictions, which were written down in a 1555 tome called Les Propheties.

Les Propheties contained 942 predictions for the future which have been analysed down the centuries and which, some claim, foresaw everything from the Great Fire of London in 1666 and the French Revolution in the late 18th century to both World Wars and even the events of 9/11.

It’s thought Nostradamus accurately predicted the year of Queen Elizabeth II’s death and her age of death when he said a second Queen Elizabeth would die in “22” at “around” the age of 96.

Queen Elizabeth II died on September 8, 2022, at the age of 96.

According to analysts, Nostradamus also predicted that in 2024, the royal family would face turmoil with a King “driven out by force”.

“King of the Isles driven out by force … replaced by one who will have no mark of a king,” the relevant passage in Les Propheties reads.

Nostradamus expert Mario Reading interpreted the prophecy to refer to an “unworthy” and unpopular King who would be forced out by the wishes of the people and replaced by a man “who never expected to be King.”

But with the news of Charles’ cancer diagnosis, Nostradamus followers are looking at the prediction with fresh eyes.

Could it mean King Charles will be forced from the throne by illness, rather than his lack of popularity with his subjects?

And if Charles abdicates, what might happen if Prince William, who is facing his own battle as wife Catherine undergoes treatment for cancer, declines to take the throne, or even the role of Prince Regent?

That would mean the next in line, William’s eldest son George, 10, would theoretically become King.

The line of succession then follows down to William’s two other children, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis.

Fifth in line to the throne is Charles’ estranged son and so-called “spare to the heir,” Prince Harry.

Which begs the question: Who is the man who “never expected to be King”?

Could it be Prince Harry? Or perhaps 10-year-old George, who would certainly never have expected to become King as a school-aged child?

Imagine a scenario in which William declines to become King or Prince Regent because of his wife’s battle with cancer.

In centuries past, that wouldn’t have been too much of an issue — it was completely common for children to ascend the throne.

But what would happen in a modern-day monarchy if George, 10, became King?

Could there be calls from the public that the next available adult after William — that is, Harry — be installed as King, with Meghan as Queen?

The mind boggles at the possibilities.

Charles’ health rumours

On Friday, rumours began circulating online that King Charles was in much poorer health than Buckingham Palace was letting on.

A source speaking to The Daily Beast claimed Charles’ prognosis was “not good” and that palace officials were revisiting the details of his funeral plan, code-named Operation Menai Bridge.

“Of course he is determined to beat it, and they are throwing everything at it,” a source described as an “old friend of the royal family” told the outlet.

“Everyone is staying optimistic, but he is really very unwell.

While announcing he had cancer, Charles did not specify what type it was, only that it was uncovered during treatment for an enlarged prostate.

Very little is known about Charles’ illness or treatment, other than his cancer is not of the prostate.

Rather worryingly, one former Buckingham Palace staffer told The Daily Beast that Operation Menai Bridge was being actively “kept up to date”.

“It’s no more than what you would expect given the king has been diagnosed with cancer,” the source said.

“But the circulation of (the Operation Menai notes) has certainly focused minds.”
