Legends of the game and some of the most highly decorated players to have graced the field will also be front and centre of Seven’s matchday coverage.

Champions such as Luke Hodge, Matthew Richardson, Shaun Burgoyne, Jobe Watson, Dale Thomas, Tim Watson, Cameron Ling, Nathan Jones, Chris Johnson, Jude Bolton and Campbell Brown will regularly give fans their expert opinions throughout the season.

And on Thursday morning Seven also announced AFLW’s greatest ever player Erin Phillips and one of the game’s most respected captains Joel Selwood will be joining the team as well.

But that’s not all … rounding out the staggering line-up is former AFLW star Abbey Holmes, and news identities Mark Soderstrom, Ryan Daniels, and Nigel Carmody.

Geelong captain Patrick Dangerfield will also continue his role with Seven, providing expert commentary throughout the 2024 season.

And popular sports caller Hamish McLachlan will feature across the first two weeks of the season, before heading overseas with his family.

Selwood, the game’s most experienced finals player, will also co-host the season-long broadcast of Talking Footy this year along with Richmond premiership captain Trent Cotchin.

The weekly analysis show returns to the screens of Seven in 2024 on Wednesday, March 6, at 9.30pm after the much-loved footy show The Front Bar.

“Following one of the greatest finals series ever seen in modern day football, we cannot wait to see what 2024 has in store.

“From every nail-biting finish to the biggest day in September, Seven will be there to deliver every moment to all Australians, live and free.
