Two recent events have sparked speculation around Cate Blanchett’s marriage to her husband of 26 years, Andrew Upton.
The Aussie movie star and Upton, a Australian playwright, screenwriter and director, wed in 1997.
Earlier this month, the couple listed their Melbourne home, which they bought in 2006, for sale.

And this week, the Oscar winner arrived at the 2024 BAFTA Awards, where she was photographed without her wedding ring.
The couple was last spotted publicly together in August 2023 while on a holiday in Ibiza.
Neither Blanchett nor Upton has addressed reports of rumours about their relationship status.
The actress wore a maroon-coloured gown to the BAFTAS, with a large emerald ring instead of her wedding band.
It is not the first time she has been spotted recently minus her wedding ring.
She stepped out in New York on February 6 without it, when she appeared alongside Meryl Streep and Kevin Kline at the 40th anniversary screening of Streep’s classic film, Sophie’s Choice.
Blanchett and Upton have three sons, Dashiell, 22, Roman, 19, Ignatius, 16, and an eight-year-old daughter, Edith.
Earlier in February, they listed their home in the Melbourne suburb of Prahran, which they have owned for 17 years, with a price guide of $2.25 million to $2.45 million.
The couple, who have been living in the UK since 2015, still own several properties together.
