Can’t get your hands on Rhode in Australia? We’ve found the next best tinted lip treatments

On Wednesday morning, Hailey Bieber answered the question on every beauty lover’s lips by posting a photo of her latest merchandise product.

After posing alongside a Rhode-emblazoned phone case on Instagram on February 5 — complete with a lipgloss holder on the back of it — fans and frenemies alike couldn’t believe how simple (and necessary) the product was for the market.

How could we have spent years adding mini card holders to the back of our phone cases but neglected to think about our lip products, which are often required more than a physical debit card?

On Valentine’s Day, our prayers were answered.

Hailey announced that the phone cases would be launching on her website on February 27, but sadly Rhode currently doesn’t ship to Australia.

So until Casetify comes out with a similar design, those living Down Under will have to treat themselves to lip treatments that are already available at Sephora and Adore Beauty — but that doesn’t mean we’re coming in second best.

Ole Henriksen’s Pout Preserve Peptide Lip Treatment is the answer to Rhode’s options, with flavours Citrus Sunshine, Cocoa Creme and Strawberry Sorbet.

At $29 a piece, they’re on par with the pricing over at Rhode and are packed full of lip-specific peptides, nourishing butters and oils.

“The active formula is clinically tested to give you softer, bouncier, fuller-looking lips in just one week,” Sephora’s Australia website confirms.

Shoppers who have already tested them out are calling the treatments “super hydrating” and an “absolute go-to”.

They’re even being praised for making lips appear “fuller” just because of how glossy the formulation is.

In my handbag at the moment I’ve got a tube of Aspect’s Lip Perfecting Mask, which is currently 20 per cent off at Adore Beauty.

It is perfect for touch ups when you just want a clear gloss that feels thick and luxurious.

Summer Friday’s new lip oils are also a worthy contender to Rhode, with plantbased collagen and vitamin E included in the formula.

If you’re looking for an option with SPF included than the Ultra Violette Hydrating SPF Lip Duo ($30) is a homegrown hero worth experimenting with.
