A California rapper has been shot dead at the opening of a beauty store in the San Francisco Bay Area at the weekend, following a meet-and-greet with fans.
Musician Tan DaGod, whose real name is Alliauna Green, was shot dead at Glamor Beauty Supply’s grand opening in the city of Oakland, NBC reported.
DaGod was gunned down about 5pm on Saturday (local time), prompting fans to flee to neighbouring stores for safety.

The rapper was immediately rushed to hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
The motivation for the killing is unknown, and police are still hunting for the perpetrator.
A number of nearby workers were confused by what was going on, according to San Francisco Bay Area’s local news station KRON.
“I heard some shooting I thought it was part of their music,” a nearby worker said.
DaGod was an up-and-coming star with more than 20,000 followers on Instagram.
Tributes are being left outside the beauty store.
Fellow Oakland rapper, Mistah FAB, paid tribute to the musician.
“A hustling go-getter, with a world of ambition, drive, and courage and a heart as big as TEXAS!!!!” FAB wrote.
