A Brazilian influencer was allegedly nearly killed by her machete-wielding father following a dispute over money.

Bruna Tsuchiya, a 33-year-old dentist in the northern city of Belem, suffered cuts and bruises to her back, arms and legs after her father’s attack.
Police in the state of Para say the father, Reinaldo Tsuchiya, 54, and his daughter had an argument May 29 over a car repair debt and child support payments for her two younger siblings, reports Britain’s Daily Mail.
The influencer, who has more than 107,000 followers on Instagram, told police that her father pulled out a machete and chased her to the family’s hotel business.

She called her mother for help before her father allegedly broke down the door to the room she was hiding in and attacked her with rocks.
Tsuchiya fled the room and ran toward the garage, where she tripped and fell. Her father then pulled her by the hair and used the machete to beat her up, according to authorities.

“I experienced a nightmare, the feeling that my life would suddenly end there,” Tsuchiya said in an Instagram Story post shortly after the attack.
“I was sure it would be my last day, a father who kills his own child. How would a father have the courage to do something like that? Is there a justification?”

She needed stitches to close wounds on her hands and suffered deep bruising on her back and legs.
Police officers arrived at the scene and arrested her father.
The senior Tsuchiya, who is facing a femicide charge, told police that his daughter visited him at the family hotel office to obtain a payment for her mother, who co-owns the business.
Following an argument, she refused to pay for auto parts to repair her vehicle, he said.
The father claimed that Tsuchiya grabbed the machete before he took away her gun.
