Boy dies, another seriously injured in stabbing at Doonside

A boy has died and another is in a serious condition in hospital following a stabbing near a school in Sydney’s west.

Police were called to Power St, near Crawford Public School in Doonside, about 3.40pm on Friday.

Before officers could arrive, two teenaged boys presented to Blacktown Police Station with serious stab wounds.

They were treated at the scene but one of the boys died.

The second boy was taken to hospital in a serious condition.

7NEWS understands the boys are brothers who were involved in a brawl with a group of five others.

One person has been arrested but no charges have been laid at this stage.

Dozens of police swarmed the area looking for those involved.

Police are continuing to search for others.

Several crime scenes have been taped off, and police have been interviewing witnesses.
